Belize has officially assumed the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Central American Security Commission (CSC), following the conclusion of the 83rd Ordinary Meeting of the Central American Security Commission held on 23 June 2026, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA) in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The United States Government, through the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), officially handed over a newly constructed and fully equipped Forensic Office intended for use by the Scenes of Crime Unit in Dangriga valued at more than USD $370,000.
